According to AFP, the Kremlin confirmed on August 29 that Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with India's Prime Minister Modi, Iran's President Peshezian and Turkish President Erdogan in China during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.

In an interview with local media, Russian Assistant President Ussakov said that during his attendance to the SCO summit, President Putin would meet with Prime Minister Modi, who said it was the first meeting between the two leaders this year, but the two sides remain in close contact by telephone.

He also said that Putin will discuss the situation in the Middle East, North Africa, and the South Caucasus with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Ushakov said that after meeting with Turkish leaders, Putin will also hold talks with the Iranian president. He said: "Iran is our long-term reliable partner. There are many issues that need to be discussed between the two sides, including the situation related to Iran's nuclear program."
