Many South Korean secondary schools are threatened with "bomb fraud"

Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, August 30th South Korean media reported on the 29th that many high schools in Seoul, Incheon and Busan, South Korea encountered a series of "bomb fraud" threats on the 28th and 29th, triggering emergency evacuation. After the police rushed to the scene, no explosives were found, and an investigation into the related incident has been launched.

South Korean police said on Monday that two high schools in Incheon received fax messages claiming that “campus had explosives” and then called the police and arranged the emergency evacuation of teachers and students.

The day before, seven high schools in Seoul were threatened by "bomb fraud", and teachers and students were evacuated urgently, which was finally confirmed to be a false alarm.

Fake bomb threats in South Korea have increased the burden on police and sparked public anxiety. Earlier this week, a primary school and two secondary schools in Seoul were threatened with “fraud” bombing.

South Korean police officials say that even if the suspicion is false information, it must be responded according to the real threat, which consumes a lot of human resources.
