On August 27-29 local time, the Ministry of Commerce International Trade Negotiations Representative and Deputy Minister Li Zhen Steel visited the United States, and held meetings with relevant officials of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce and the Office of the Trade Representative. The two sides discussed and exchanged on issues such as China-US economic and trade relations and implementation of China-US economic and trade talks. Li Zhen Steel stressed that the two sides should adhere to the principle of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation, continue to play the role of the Sino-US economic and trade consultation mechanism, through equal dialogue, consultation and control of differences, and expand cooperation, and jointly promote the healthy, stable and sustainable development of Sino-US economic and trade

During his visit to the United States, Li also held talks with the U.S.-China National Trade Commission, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and relevant representatives of U.S. enterprises.
