On August 29, local time, General Staff reporter was informed that the Republican governor of Missouri, Mike Keiko, convened a special session of Missouri lawmakers to re-divide the state's congressional district.

President Donald Trump said via social media on the same day that he applauded Missouri's push for new congressional district maps, calling it a "major victory" for the "America First" agenda.

In the United States, the Republican and Democratic parties have tried to reshape the political map by redistributing electoral districts for more than 200 years and have helped the party win as many seats as possible through unfair distribution of electoral districts.

On August 21, California Governor Gavin Newton officially signed legislation that decided to hold special elections in November, with voters deciding whether to approve a redesigned map of Congressional districts.

Earlier on August 29, the governor of Texas signed a pro-Republican electoral district division bill approved by the state parliament, ultimately defining the state’s new congressional electoral district scheme.
