Thailand has announced five candidates for new prime minister.

On August 29, Thailand's Constitutional Court ruled that Petuntan's "Recording Gate" case was unconstitutional and dismissed, and the cabinet will be dissolved accordingly.

According to the regulations, after Petuntan dismisses the prime minister, the lower house of Thailand must choose a new prime minister from among the existing candidates. According to Article 88 of the 2017 Constitution, each party can submit a list of no more than three candidates for prime minister. Parties with at least 5% of the seats (25 people) have the right to nominate a prime minister candidate for parliamentary elections.

At present, political parties with at least 5% of the seats in Congress and their candidates are mainly as follows:

1. Guess Carson for the Thai Party

2. Thai Pride Party Anutin

Joint construction of the Thai Party

4. Democratic Party Zhu Lin

5. United Thailand Party Prayut
