The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit 2025 will be held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1.Pakistan is a member of the SCO. Pakistani Minister of Planning and Development Iqbal said yesterday in an interview with reporters at the headquarters of the SCO that he looks forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation across various fields through the SCO Summit in Tianjin.

The world is currently facing many challenges, which require all members of the international community to uphold the concept of unity. Conflicts are ongoing and there is a risk of escalation. I hope that at this important moment in human history, this summit will focus on how to enhance the predictability and stability of the world. Countries need to strengthen cooperation, expand trade exchanges, and enhance people-to-people exchanges in order to promote mutual understanding among different cultures and countries. I also hope that this SCO Summit will promote fruitful cooperation among member states and deepen exchanges in the fields of people-to-people, culture, education and youth level exchanges.
