Hong Lei said that the foreign guests attending this year's commemorative activities mainly have three characteristics.

The attendance covers five continents of the world, indicating that the international community generally recognizes China's historical contribution and world significance of the Anti-Japanese War. Third, the participation is wide. There are both government and non-governmental people, and many international friends and their survivors are household names in China.

Hong Li said that at present, the international situation is intertwined, the peace deficit has increased and decreased, and the safeguarding of world peace is still a long way to go.The theme of this commemorative event is "memorating history, remembering the forerunners, cherishing peace, and creating the future".The Chinese people will work with the people of all countries to firmly defend the victorious results of the Second World War, firmly safeguard the international system with the United Nations as the core and the international order based on international law, promote the building of a community of human destiny, and work together to promote the noble cause of human peace and development.
