The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, UNICEF, the World Food Program and the World Health Organization jointly released a report not long ago, confirming that famine has occurred in parts of the Gaza Strip.

In recent days, despite the fact that humanitarian aid is delivering food aid to the Gaza Strip, it has remained just a cup of water for the hungry people in Gaza.The World Food Programme (WFP) called on Israel to ease its transit authority to allow more aid materials to enter Gaza.

On the 28th, local time, some people gathered in Gaza City north of the Gaza Strip waiting for food. Some people said that although they came here early, they could not get enough food, and even more than half would return empty-handed.

Local residents of Sami Al Ashram:I come here every morning to get food, but the food I get is not enough. I ask those in charge of aid to increase the supply of aid so that we can live. We are poor, we are helpless, we can't find food, we don't have the food we need, and this rice is not enough for us.

Cindy McCain, the Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP), said on Monday that despite an increase in the amount of food available to the Gaza Strip, the number is still not as high as it was before the Israeli military resumed its military operations in Gaza.

Cindy McCain, Executive Director of the World Food Program:We now have 100 trucks entering Gaza every day, but the difference between 100 trucks a day and 600 trucks a day during the previous ceasefire is obvious. Sometimes we would get permission to enter Gaza, but we couldn't get in in time, and our trucks would stay there for 5 hours, 10 hours, 12 hours, 18 hours before we could start moving. This situation has also exacerbated the crisis, so we are once again asking for more access to Gaza to make it easier and significantly simplifying those bureaucratic processes. This way we can go in there and do our work and go to the places where we need to go in the way we see appropriate and correct.
