Breaking-News >> WorldNews China student detained for using mobile phones to take photos and translate signs
The Chinese Consulate General in Gothenburg issued an emergency consular warning on August 26 about not taking illegal photographs: Recently, a newly enrolled Chinese student in our consular district was detained by the Swiss law enforcement department for using his mobile phone to take photos and translate the signs of a local facility. The police suspected that he illegally photographed important sensitive facilities. Such cases in Sweden usually involve criminal investigation, prosecution and legal consequences such as fines or imprisonment. The Chinese Consulate General in Gothenburg once again solemnly reminds Chinese citizens in the consular area to strictly abide by local laws and regulations, pay attention to local signs such as no photography and no entry (including but not limited to those shown in the picture below), and do not take photos in military facilities, law enforcement departments, airport customs and other important places and their surrounding areas. Prohibited photographic marks. No entry sign If an emergency occurs during the trip, stay calm and take appropriate emergency handling measures. If necessary, contact the relevant parties for help in a timely manner.
