Xinhua News Agency Los Angeles, August 28 (Reporter Tan Jingjing) The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a notice on the 28th to remind that the recent Salmonella epidemic related to contaminated eggs in many states in the United States has approached 100 people.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, a total of 95 people from 14 states have been infected with the same Salmonella strain, 18 of whom have been hospitalized and no deaths have been.

The company involved, named "Rural Eggs", announced on the 27th that it would recall eggs it produced that may be contaminated with salmonella. The eggs are mainly sold to supermarkets and food distributors in California and Nevada.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reminds the public not to eat recalled eggs and to thoroughly clean surfaces or utensils that may have come into contact with eggs. If severe symptoms occur, seek medical attention promptly.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, symptoms of human infection with Salmonella usually include diarrhea, fever, stomach cramps, etc. Symptoms generally appear within 6 hours to 6 days of exposure to the bacteria. Most patients heal themselves within 4 to 7 days, but children, the elderly and people with low immunity are more likely to develop severe diseases.
